Office Hysteroscopy-

Hysteroscopy in the doctor's office

The examination

Hysteroscopy is the imaging of the uterine cavity with a hysteroscope. Flexible office hysteroscopy is performed in the office with a very thin flexible hysteroscope-optical fiber. It is performed painlessly, without anesthesia, in a standard gynecological position, just like taking a Pap test, and takes less than 3 minutes. Throughout, the patient monitors the progress of the examination and the diagnostic findings on a monitor. At the end, he receives a DVD with the entire exam. The examination is diagnostic, while biopsies can also be taken.

The hysteroscope

The OLYMPUS HYF-XP flexible hysteroscope  is an innovation in the field of gynecological endoscopy. With a diameter of only 3.1mm, it penetrates the cervix without the need for dilation of the cervix. The fact that it is flexible allows easy visualization of the endometrial cavity without the need for the doctor to touch the patient (non-touch technique). The ability to bend its tip by 200 degrees allows imaging of the entire cavity without additional manipulations that may cause the patient to react.
